Shortcode for posts not working right

I’m having trouble using the shortcode to insert posts—it will only show the first ten posts and doesn’t include the option to view more. I’ve tried to use -1 to show all posts on a single page, but putting in -1 in the box doesn’t work. I have to manually insert posts_per_page=”-1″ into the shortcode myself. The plugin won’t do it.
