I have recently been able to succesfully use the shortcode form to edit user fields, but as of last night I started getting an error I had seen before:

“Form could not be submitted. Please make sure you have entered your information properly.”

I was adding new fields to the data tab, and had tried with different shortcode forms with all fields as well as with a few random selections of individual fields including single line text fields which shouldn’t be restrictive about what information is entered.

I am not sure, but think that what solved this originally was changing the form method to post, but neither post or get work now.

If someone could tell me what this error message means and how to fix it, that would be great!

    Hello.

That means that you do not use any email attribute in your form. Probably you have deleted our default attribute or do not use it in your form.

    Regards.

Thanks for getting back to me Maria,

I am not sure if I have edited the email field data but it is still there and it has been on during testing while getting the error. Because I am signed in and have entered an email already the field appears as uneditable text when I have it and one other data field selected in a shortcode form. Below I have attached a link to screenshot with the user email data field settings in case you see anything. I can pm you login details if you would be happy to take a look further at the plugin setup?

Do you have the latest version of WP-CRM? Can you give me the link to your form?

    Regards.

Hi Maria, Thanks for your quick response. I tried to reply the other night that I had figured out the problem was with the email field being uneditable. This shouldn’t be a problem, even if it isn’t the intended way the plugin functions.
    Thanks again
