Shortcode Formatting

Hello.

I was wondering when adding a shortcode to a functions.php file, does it matter where the add_shortcode() function is in the code?

Does it have to come after the function, before the function, or can it be listed at the top of the page?

I am working on improving the page readability and structure for my code.

I did read through https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/reference/functions/add_shortcode/ but do not see anything on this and best practices.
