I’ve published a forminator form with shortcode: forminator_form id 970.

I added the shortcode in Divi WordPress, and when I click on the link, users get the error: about:blank#blocked

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @wendypardo

I hope you are doing well today.

Can you let us know which module from Divi you used to add Forminator shortcode?

Also can you test same shortcode using default WP core editor and see if it works?

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

Hi support- Thanks for reaching out. I had emailed a reply but I’ll add it here as well. This issue still exists.

    1. The WP modules I’m using are an icon and a button.
    2. I designed the website with Divi builder so I’m not sure how to edit it using native WordPress? Do you have instructions? I get a popup to use Divi builder when trying to edit since it was built with Divi originally.

    Hi @wendypardo,

The WP modules I’m using are an icon and a button.

Could you please share a screenshot on how you have added the shortcode inside the module?

You could try creating a new page and by switching to the default WP editor to see if you get the same issue or not. Have you tried that?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,

Here are my 2 screenshots of Links I added with DIVI builder to my website. I pulled the short-code from the formulator form and pasted it in the Link section in Divi. FYI – Both the icon and the button modules are not working properly and I get the error: about:blank#blocked in Chrome when I click on either (button or icon). I notice after a while, the link shortcode changes to this in DIVI: http://%91forminator_form%20id=%22970%22%93

    Hi @wendypardo,

I hope you are doing well today!

Here are my 2 screenshots of Links I added with DIVI builder to my website.

We could not see any screenshots, could you please try again and also, please share an export of the form with us and the link of the form page, so that we can check further.

You can find more info on how to export the form here : https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

After exporting, please share the file contents with us using the free services such as Google Drive (publicly), https://pastebin.com or https://justpaste.it

Please also share Site Health report which you can get from the WordPress admin dashboard Tools->Site Health->Info->Copy site info to clipboard

Please always make sure to use such services to share the code and don’t post the code here directly as it will most likely be unusable.

    Kind regards,
    Zafer

Thanks for your help. I’ve created a google doc here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-xtzUhb_XH6iKqZ1Fs2NLULlO3pPkRjwkWzrZnSAfHM/edit?usp=sharing

It includes a screenshot of site health, the export text of the form, and both screenshots of how I’ve added the shortcode using Divi Builder with WordPress (icon and button modules).

    Hi @wendypardo,

From the screenshot, I observed that you configured the Formiantor shortcode as a link URL to the icon and a button. Please note, this is not how you should use a Formiantor shortcode.

A shortcode is a small piece of code enclosed in square brackets that acts as a placeholder for dynamic content or functionality. Shortcodes are used to insert specific features or output into posts, pages, widgets, or other content areas without the need to write complex code.

To add a shortcode in Divi, you can use the Code Module, which allows you to insert custom functionality or content generated by the shortcode. Alternatively, you can place the shortcode in a Text module as well. I hope the following guide comes in handy: https://www.wonderplugin.com/divi-theme/how-to-add-wordpress-shortcode-to-divi-page-builder/

I hope that helps. Let us know if you need any further clarification.

    Kind Regards,

Thank you. This fixed my issues and now the form is working. Thank you for sending me that link.

Is there a way I can format how the form answers are summarized to me (results sent to me via email)?

    Hi @wendypardo ,

    I hope you’re doing well.

Sure, you should be able to use the Email Notifications that you can edit and add the form submission entries and get those sent to your email account.

You can see how to edit and customize those here – https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#email-notifications-forms

Let us know if this helps.

    Best Regards,
    Williams Valerio
