Hi, ‘m building a site for used cars. I want to display the most viewed new, used, certified cars, etc.

The vehicle post type is “listings”. The new/used taxonomy is “condition”. the Used tag id is “34498”.

I used the shortcode: [wpp post_type=’listings’ taxonomy=’condition’ term_id=’34500′] but nothing displays. Is there something else I need to do?

    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hi Jason,

    (…) but nothing displays.

Not even the “Sorry, no data so far” message that gets displayed when WPP can’t find posts that match the criteria? That’s odd.

I’m not near a computer at the moment so I can’t check your website right away. Could you please answer the following questions in the meantime?

    • Is WPP tracking your visits? (Go to Settings > WordPress Popular Posts, hit the config icon at the top left and make sure your listings post type is there. Are you seeing visits?)
    • Are you using a caching plugin?
    • Are you using a security / firewall plugin?
    • Are you sure that the post type is called listings (plural) and not listing (singular)?

Just checked your site. WPP seems to be working:

    WPP at usacarshopper.com

There’s an error message that you need to fix, though:

Error: cannot ajaxify WordPress Popular Posts on this theme. It’s missing the id attribute on before_widget (see register_sidebar for more).

Your theme developer should be able to take care of that easily.

Hi Hector, I have no idea why this didn’t display earlier but everything seems fine now. Thanks for you help and making this plugin.
