Shortcode not evaluated with another theme

    We are evaluating the use of this plugin (and the pro) and have faced an issue using the Ultimatum Theme framework.
    The shortcode to insert the Search form does not convert, it remains the raw shortcode.
    Other shortcodes from other search plugins were rendering. I was just wondering, if there was something special about this shortcode that it does not render.

    I will now try with a different theme (themify) and their content layout builder (you simply drag in widgets or paste shortcodes in text containers like done using Ultimatum).
    But we would surely rather use Ultimatum as much more flexible.

    As there is no widget for this code snippet (so I would insert it into the layout parts) I am a bit doomed.

    Hi there

    In pro you have a S&F widget, to insert in to your sidebars etc via “appearance -> widgets”…

    Apart from that, your issue sounds really strange – the S&F shortcode is implemented using standard practices in WP – I can’t see a reason for S&F shortcodes to not work when others from any other plugin do…

    The only thing I can think of is if maybe you have both S&F free & pro enabled at the same time? This will cause some issues – make sure the other is disabled or uninstalled.

    we have not yet purchased Pro yet, as we still evaluate based on the free version or is there a trial?
    Anyhow, if there is a widget replacing the shortcode itself which can have endless instances with different search forms assigned to them, then this sounds promising.
    Is there also a results widget or do we need to only use AJAX and have an ID specified in the instanciated widget as the result target?

    I know, I am sorry for asking PRO questions in the free board, but the basic version, so far, did not work for us and the Ultimatum theme and I could hardly believe that this sophisticated plugin was not running. The description really looks amazing……
