Shortcode not working in widget

    I’m on WP 5.4.
    For some reason, the form doesn’t show up on my site anymore. It used to work.

    I’ve used the provided shortcode in a widget on my site (under “Meld deg på vårt nyhetsbrev” in the right column far down on the page): [mc4wp_form id=”508″]

    The shortcode is output to the page, instead of the form being shown.

    The code works when applied to a page, but not in a widget.
    Any tips?

    If you are using a HTML widget, can you try a text widget instead?
    And if you’re using a text widget, can you try a HTML widget instead?

    Another option is to use the MailChimp for Widget instead of the shortcode.

    Thanks – when switching to a text widget it worked. I was using an HTML widget (that used to work).
