Hi Mani,
It’s hard to diagnose from here without screenshots or URL’s. Is the site available anywhere for me to view?
If you have FTP access as well you can send that through in an email and we’ll gladly log in to take a look at what’s going on.
We’ve had no other reports of this and it’s working fine here so it must something specific to this site/theme. We can clarify that though once we get a bit more info.
Many thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
Thank you very much for your reply.
The website URL is
http://adamsteinandco.promoworxacademy.co.uk/
The search page is
http://adamsteinandco.promoworxacademy.co.uk/properties/
This page is working fine.
The page with the shortcode [properties] is
http://adamsteinandco.promoworxacademy.co.uk/offices/
The shortcode used is [properties property_type_id=”35″]
As mentioned shortcode [recent_properties] and [featured_properties] worked okay.
If you let me know what email address I should send you the FTP details, I can send you the details and also WordPress backend login details too.
I cannot send you these details publicly.
We have 2 more property websites to design and are planning to buy a few add-ons if this plugin works well.
Thank you.
I will send the details to [email protected]
It would be much appreciated if you can look into it.
Thank you!
Yes please send through details. Does it work if you don’t put property_type_id=’35’? I wonder if there are just no properties with that property type.
I’ll check when I get details though.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
Just wondering if you think the problem with the shortcode could be solved?
Thanks.
Mani
Hi Mani,
I’m afraid I never received details to [email protected], nor to my question “Does it work if you don’t put property_type_id=’35’”.
If you let me know I’ll gladly take a look.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
I have sent you the login details, I’m not sure if you received it.
I think I figured out what the error is.
I was mainly using Settings > Custom fields > “Commercial Property Types” for the properties as my client deals with commercial properties. Then the shortcode [properties] didn’t work.
But when I changed the property type to any of the Residential Property Types then the listing showed up on the page from the shortcode [properties], also working with “property_type_id=””.
Is there any reason why the [properties] doesn’t work with “Commercial Property Types”? Or is there other settings I need to check to make the [properties] work with “Commercial Property Types”?
Thanks.
Mani
Hi Mani,
You’re absolutely right. I’ll get a release out later today allowing you to filter by commercial property types in shortcodes.
I’ll confirm when released so you can update.
Regards,
Steve
Hi Steve,
That would be fantastic!
Thank you so much.
Mani
Hi Mani,
1.4.9 released which contains the aforementioned fix. Once updated, do as you were but just add the department, for example:
[properties department="commercial" property_type_id=35]
Any questions please just ask,
Regards,
Steve
