shortcode [sermon images]: sort by sermon date

Hi,
With the shortcode [sermon images] and without the ‘orderby’ attribute, the series are listed in alphabetical order. I want the series to be sorted by sermon date.
With [sermon_images display="series" order="DESC" orderby="date"], there is no series: No images found. I read the topic https://github.com/WP-for-Church/Sermon-Manager/issues/263, I launched the updater. With [sermon_images display="series" order="DESC" orderby="id"], the series are ordered by id, not by sermon date. The sermon dates are correct in the wp_termeta table.
How can I display the series sorted by the sermon date? Thank you for your help.
