Shortcode turns my pages into posts

Hi, this plugin is _exactly_ what I’ve been looking for, and was so excited when I found it 🙂 But it seems to turn the pages I use it in, in to posts :p Can this shortcode _only_ be used in regular blog posts? Is there some way to get around this?
This plugin has deleted all the pages I’ve tested it in, and this makes me anxious to use it “for real” :p
