Shortcode updates hourly, widget doesn't

I’m using your great plugin both as shortcode and widget, to display hourly results. It appears the widget only displays correct, timely results if I push ‘save’ in the admin panel, while the shortcode updates the correct results automatically.

Could this be due to some kind of caching issue and if so: is there a fix for this?
