    Hi Franky.

I’m outputting lists filtered by location_id and using a custom template I reference via template_id. Now I understand if I want a header and a footer, I will have to create them, then use them via template_id_header and template_id_footer.

The thing is that I would be fine with the default (which I haven’t changed in the settings, either), but I think, that can’t be referenced. I was thinking template_id_header/footer=0, but that does nothing. I have created custom templates which now contain just what is the sefault if the corresponding setting fields are empty.

Is it either possible to reference the default header/footer or can I suggest returning those for id=0? 🙂 Whatever case – no hurries, though.

OT question: Is there a way to search in a support forum on ww.wp.xz.cn?

    Best regards
    Florian

No, it is not possible: once you defined template_id, you should provide the header/footer too if wanted/needed. If using 0 as a value for template_id_header/footer that would mean you no longer could choose not to have a header/footer.
So: just create a template with the defaults in it and use those too 🙂

For support: I normally recommend my forum at http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress (and there you can search too)

Well, I was thinking omitting the header/footer parameters would just result in no header/footer (default values null instead of 0). It’s just a suggestion, I’ve already created those entries. Just seemed a little redundant 😀

Also thanks for reminding me of your forum. Currently I have the documentation open, from where it is perfectly linked. I just have to look 🙂

Omitting the header/footer params results in no header/footer (at least it should).

Yes, I am aware of that. I think we’re maybe misunderstanding each other here 🙂

This is what I’m suggesting: So there would be a difference between omitting those parameters and giving them a value of 0. Omitting results in not having a header/footer, setting them to 0 gives the default.
