shortcodes break page

I am trying to get this to work as a sidebar widget or just a part of the page but when adding your shortcodes I get error strings like this http://grab.by/ChcU.

I use Visual Composer but I also get this adding your shortcodes to a text box in the standard widgets I get the same errors. Is it only for putting on empty pages, it’s got to have widget options as that is the most practised use and not only a full page extravaganza.
