Shortcodes & Gallery Width

    I just want to make my thumbnail gallery be the width of my page.

    The attach-to-post seems to work but I don’t know how to get it to extend to the width of the page. I then put in a shortcode (see below)

    Also, shortcodes do not seem to work. I tried

    <center>[nggallery id=1]</center>

    Which ended up with what you see here.

    The link shows both the attach-to-post that I want full width and the seemingly not working shortcode. If I could fix either I would be grateful.
