Hi, I have exactly the same problem like the user in this thread:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/shortcodes-in-link-doesnt-work/

I am trying to use URL parameters to pre-fill the email address in a form.
So I send an email containing a link. For example, https://mydomain.com/formpage/[email protected].

When I insert the link into the MailPoet editor, it is not converted.
    _https://mydomain.com/formpage/?email=[subscriber:email]

The variables are replaced in normal text, but not in links.
Strangely enough, it works when sending a preview, but not when sending to a list.

Is there any solution for this? The original post is already quite old.

    Thanks!

    Hi there @oliver-k-1,

    Thank you for reporting this!

I was testing on my own site, and confirmed seeing the same thing with shortcodes in URLs not converting to display the subscriber data when I have “Engagement analytics tracking” set to “Full” under MailPoet > Settings > Advanced. When I disabled the tracking though (set to “Basic”), then I see the shortcodes return the expected subscriber data instead.

I’ve reported this to our developers to investigate. We’ll get back to you here once we have more information.

    Thank you!
