Shortcodes Manager

Is there a way to manage (ie: edit on a regular basis) the shortcodes you’ve already created via the WordPress interface or is the only solution to create a new shortcode with the updates you want? I’m creating a template for a friend and would like to include an image slider on his homepage, but also integrate it into the template’s code while still allowing him to edit said slider via WordPress. Is it possible to do this without using a different plugin?
