    Hi all,

I have got following issues with shortcodes:

    1)
    [dropcap]W[/dropcap]
    >> DROPCAP is working within single post but the letter is missing on overview/mainpage descriptions. So in blogpost I start with Welcome [dropcap]W[/dropcap]elcome >> on overview I have ‘elcome’ without the Initial letter….. what to do?

    2)
    [column size=”one-half”]…[/column]
    [column size=”one-half” last=”true”]…[/column]
    >> COLUMNS not working

Info: I have both sidebars activated. Else, I haven’t made any CSS changes. Theme is newly installed with standard Theme customizations, like colors, etc.

    _______
Could you help out what to do to get these two functions work?

    Thank you.
    Regards
    EFE

  • Hi there EFE,

I can reproduce the issue 1) but I’m not able to reproduce the second one.
Do you mean columns do not work in single posts?
Can you share a link where this happens?

    Thanks.

    Hi Rocco (@d4z_c0nf)

thank you for your reply. Exactly that’s what I mean. No matter which kind of culumn shortcode I use, doesn’t work in single posts. I also changed from two sidebars to a single one, just to try, but nope. No show.

And I haven’t customized any CSS yet. the blog is just set up with the theme options and settings.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    It’s working properly.
I just did a test on my Hueman test site.

    Please see my screen-cast.
    http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cblhni2gqt

You need to be using Hueman Addons plugin ( https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/hueman-addons/ ) Please remember to put your shortcode in the text editor.

The full documentation is at the following URL.
    http://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/246-hueman-addons-how-to-use-the-shortcodes

If you are sure that you have carry out the steps properly.
Please check for plugin conflict, as a plugin could be producing conflicting css that breaks your column shortcode layout.

    Thank you

    Hi Denzel,

thank you for your answer. Indeed, I have to admit that I obviously didn’t use it properly. I copied the culumn shortcodes partially and it didn’t work. Must have missed something.

Yesterday, I copied the whole shortcode example as mentioned in the documentation and replaced the sample text with mine and tataaa, it works.

Concerning the dropcap-shortcode: according the documentation activated “exerpt” in screen options menu and added the exerpt. Seems to be the only way but it works.

    Thank you!

    You are welcome.
    Thank you
