I’m currently testing Advanced Media Offloader, so far it looks really promising but I’m facing a few issues.

    1. Can we get support for Shortpixel as right now it can’t find the image when it is uploaded and offloaded. We have it set to clean up local images. Could Advanced Media Offloader delay the offload until Shortpixel or other media optimisers have done what they need to do?
    2. I started the bulk upload process, but it was stuck at 0%. I cancelled it after a while, and now it is stuck on ‘cancelling’ and never actually cancels.

I’d love to support the plugin, so let me know how we can get this working. Also, a nudge on the 50-image batches. We have a site with 33k images and need a solution to upload these, 50 images in batches, manually triggered is madness.

    Hi @adam_ph

Thanks for using Advanced Media Offloader

    1. I have added this to our backlog and we will work on it
    2. We are working to add WP CLI support to remove the 50 attachments limitation for the bulk offload. It will be released with our new version of the plugin.

I’m glad to hear the development is still ongoing.

I can’t get the bulk upload to cancel or start; it is stuck in the 0% stage.

Yes, shortpixel compatibility would be immensely helpful. As it seems, when images are being uploaded, shortpixel directly starts compressing them. Is there any way that the Advanced Media Offloader plugin halts the automatic offloading for some minutes so the compression has taken place first?

Interrupting can be tricky since it will need to change the URL. Imagine that you put the media in the content of the post. How to change it there? I would have to send compression and then send it to the bucket. This would delay uploading a lot. I believe something needs to be done, but I still can’t know how.

We are currently using the Imsanity plugin, it works. But it is not perfect for optimization.

I personally use the “Modern Image Formats” plugin for image optimization, and it works excellently with Advanced Media Offloader.

Modern Image Formats” is developed by the WordPress Performance Team, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to optimize their images!

    Hi @masoudin,

I’m following up on the delayed offload feature you added to your to-do list 3 months ago.

I saw your more recent recommendation to use the “Modern Image Formats” plugin, but a built-in delay feature is still crucial for those of us who want to keep using our existing optimizers like ShortPixel.

Is there any progress on implementing this feature?

    Thanks!
