Show notification count

Hey, I’m wanting to put like a bell icon on my shop header as a direct link to the messages/notifications page in the Dokan vendor dashboard. I want to display the notification count (sort of like the cart count in mini cart plugins) whenever a message is received from a new customer. Is this possible? Something like the attached image:
