When logged into the WP admin as the administrator, I access Smart Slider via the left side menu. When logged in as a lesser role, it’s not there.

I need an editor to be able to manage slides, but it’s not available. How can I make SmartSlider available to editors?

Most likely the lesser role you are trying to work with, doesn’t have the necessary capabilities to access Smart Slider 3.
