    so for another issue…

using this plugin wp show posts

created custom post type and showing list on page with given shortcode (using elementor shortcode widget). everything fine so far… works, and showing as intended.

but now, when trying to edit that page again, elementor shows error ‘content not found’!
this is as long as elementor is choosen as editor. when switching back to wp-editor and deleting the shown shortcode, i can run elementor again for that page and edit as before – section/column with shortcode is still there.
saving again, and same issue when trying to start EL for that page again.

sounds weird and seems to be some strange bug – any suggestions to that?
its on local enviroment, but that shouldn’t be any problem …

I use WP Show Posts extensively and have not had this issue when using the standard post types. A couple things to look into:

    – are you using the latest Elementor, 0.9,2 and WP Show Posts, 0.6
    – do you have your CPT checked “on” in Dashboard > Elementor > Settings > Post Types
    – try adding the WPSP shortcode to an Elementor Text element instead of the Elementor Shortcode widget

There is (was) an issue I was having with Elementor and the Lifter LMS plugin and it’s Courses and Lessons post types (essentially CPTs). The Elementor crew came up with a fix for this issue so it may apply to your CPT as well. You can get the latest build on their Git Hub https://github.com/pojome/elementor

    Cheers!

    thanks @learn WP Basics.
but its much easier than that 😉

there is a dedicated widget for ‘wp show posts’ that i had overlooked completely! using this one works without the described issue 🙂

but there is a tiny little other one:
the widget is not showing up, as long as i put in a title for it… when doing so, everythings alright. have to delete the title then and everything stays allright.
but nevertheless somewhere seems to be a little bug?

dont know if this refers to elementor or to the plugin…
