Show recent comments excerpts

I am actually quite content with wordpress own recent comments, but would like to have it show excerpts of the comments, because it makes it easier to tell when a new comment has been made directly from the frontpage.

Same font and stuff like that as otherwise.

Can someone please tell me how to go about doing this?
