Show Recent Posts on external page

    I have wordpress installed in a sub folder called ‘blog’.

    I want to have a portion of a page in the root directory (1 directory above my wordpress install) display the recent posts from my blog.

    I’ve tried using a php include and an absolute path to files in the templates folder but this won’t work.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
