Show slideshow depending on page
-
Hi there,
FOA thx to Josh for this great plugin! I’ve used quite a few responsive slider plugins and found this one the most flexible and easy to use.
I’m using Meteor Slides for a client site. It was quite easy to make an individual front page (with a slider in an individual “home-slider” sidebar) and to customize the code and styling to match the site design. What I’m getting stuck a bit with is, to find a solution for something more complex. Probably I just don’t get that very easy solution directly in front of me so I’ll just post the scenario without my specific technical approaches as I believe it’s probably a bit easier that way to point me into the right direction:
WordPress is mainly used as a CMS here – not a blog – and devided into several “sections”. Due to the fact that I want to use (different) slideshows for the different “sections” of the site (you might call it “sub-homes”) this could become a mess if I’d have to set up an individual front page (and/or sidebar) for each individual section. Any suggestions how to solve this most efficient?
I’d guess the most elegant solution would be to provide a select box on each page in the backend – but I’m a bit lost between all the stuff I’ve read about custom post types, custom fields etc.Thx in advance
