Hi, one option is to use another plugin like WPFilebase which does this thing. WordPress File Upload is compatible with WPFilebase and any files uploaded are synced with WPFilebase so the displayed file list is updated.
Another simpler option is to buy the Pro version of the plugin, which provides a file viewer for pages or posts with many options.
