• Greetings,
I apologize if this is the incorrect place to post but I am helping to find some guidance with developing a donation page on my WP site. I have “Fluent Forms Pro” purchased and installed. I use this for managing some of my forms/applications that members can submit. I do not use this to collect donations but I know it is an option and I have it accessible if needed to accomplish what I am looking to do.

My Community is made up of gamer nerds and we teach server & game development. Gamers like to have their donations shown to the rest of the community. Currently, I have it set up where members can make one-time donations and recurring donations (we offer different packages). What I am looking to do is show users on my website the “usernames” of people who have donated and who have set up recurring donations (subscriptions) with us.

I see a lot of plugins that offer this but they all want money, typically when it comes to recurring donations. Does anyone either know of a free plugin option or knows of a document/tutorial/youtube video somewhere to help me build a frontend page that will show donators and their donations?

While I am not looking to reinvent the wheel here, I do not mind manually creating something and staying away from plugins. I am really just trying to save my guys some money.

I know I could do this with my favorite “pro” plugin, Formidable, and it’s probably doable with yours, too. Contact them to ask them how best to access the database of responses to your donation form.

You’re using a commercial/premium plugin, so please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

Commercial products are not supported in these forums.

Thank you for the quick response Steven.

I have reached out to them yesterday and I am waiting for a response. In the interest of saving my community yearly/monthly extra costs, I am looking for a solution that does not include any plugins.

I currently do not use any plugins set up for my donation page. I was hoping to find a solution to showcase my donators both with their one-time donations and those who sign up for subscriptions. Just a simple slider, window, or something that shows their usernames, avatars, and donation amounts (whether they are one-time or recurring)

If you know where I can find a guide/document to help me figure this out that would be great unless you or someone else here has any direct advice 🙂

You could just do it in Excel and copy/paste into a table. Or use a plugin like https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/tablepress to let you upload a CSV into a table.

That would certainly help to manage things on the backend.

    2 questions:

Would there be an option for automation where I would not have to manually input information?

Would I be able to show the donations on the frontend website for others to be able to see the donations?

    1. I don’t know. Look at the plugin, ask its author. There are a bunch of other table related plugins, too

    2. If you’re puttting stuff in a table, then the table goes where you put it, no?

    3. No one says you have to use a paid plugin! Don’t avoid plugins.
