Thanks for your response. You are right the PHP version installed in my site was V5.2 and so I got it upgraded it to 5.5. Then tried installing and activating the plugin, but it gives the same error. Could you please let me know what other reasons could be for such error?

I had checked the link that you had given to raise a premium ticket and found that all the details are mandatory to be provided including the system information. But unfortunately I could not provide the system information or error log information since the plugin option is not even getting listed on the left side menu. Only if the plugin gets listed/appear in the menu, then I can collect those information, but since it is not so could not provide those details in the ticket and so could not raise the ticket.
I am sorry that I could not provide more information as there is the technical limitation.
Could you please check with the provided information and let me know.

Hi John, without some more information I won’t be able to determine the cause. Can you try submitting that ticket with some dummy text in place of the files?
Rockaclimba have you checked the PHP version?
Hi Mark,
After re-checking with my hosting company, found that the PHP version used was V5.2.7 (earlier they had informed me that it has been upgraded to V5.5 but actually it has not happened) and so got it upgraded to V5.3. After that I was able to activate the plugin. I still have to configure and see how it works. But the installation issue has been resolved now.
