I may have spoke too soon.
The Hivepress plugin also uses the comment system for reviews. These are not hidden and now they do not appear in your plugin as needing approval.

Hey, sorry to hear that but unfortunately the Hivepress plugin functions is not something I can support, the plugin only support the wordpress comments functions.
So you probably need to decide which version was better for you this one or the older one and if the older one was better you should rollback to it.

Never mind, seems like woocommerce using the same review method on the comments so i guess we are back to the older version in the new update

The core is able to differentiate in the backend with the notification bubble and adminbar. Can you duplicate the method used?

Sorry that is not a function i will be able to support
I haven’t looked yet to find the variable used the display the comment approval balloon from the backend. It would be easier to simply report its value if greater than zero.
Although, after looking at your code, I just modified your sql query to display the unapproved comments with the comment_types I want.
Please consider making either method work with your plugin.
