    Dears,
if I put “share link to blog post” as posting method, the post on facebook show a 404 error. The link to post is working, however. So now I’m using “simple text message” as method.

This appears since I upgraded the plugin for cookies law, to be compliant to GDPR. The navigation is blocked until the policy has been accepted, and I suspect that is the origin of the problem. Are there a workaround?

    Tnx in advance

    Pietro

  • Hello @patm2g ,
When i try to post your site link(https://www.santamariadelpopolo.com/catechesi-mons-gervasoni/) via WP Facebook Auto Publish,it generated a preview as expected and there wasn’t any 404 error.
Also checked the url at Facebook Open Graph Object Debugger ,that fetched post from your site as expected.

If any issues please let us know.
    Thank you.

    Thanks, anjali.

It seems that something was fixed by someone… I tried the same publication today and it works…

Are using apps created before May 1? ,otherwise it won’t work without app review. As per New Facebook Platform Product Changes and Policy Updates ,

Apps in public mode no longer allow their admins, developers, or testers to access permissions or features that normally require app review. This affects all apps built after May 1st, 2018, immediately. Apps built before then will not be affected until August 1st, 2018.

Since submitting app for review is a complicated and time consuming task, we are working on alternative method.
    Thank you for your feedback.
