sidebar and staffgrid

    I want the sidebar on the left with my menus to stay visible at all pages. But when I choose Staff grid the menu is lost and I have most of my navigation in this meny.

    In Joomla it’s easy, I tell that my meny is to be shown an every page and where and it doesn’t matter if I have a grid or not.

    I have looked under every dirty rock that I can see and I cannot see where I do changes this. It’s not easy navigating around WordPress that’s for sure…

    I believe you can accomplish this by going to edit the page in question, and finding the area on the right labeled “Page Attributes.” In the “Template” section, there should be an option called “Sidebar.” Make sure that is the selected template, and hopefully that will solve your issue.

    If I choose Sidebar, then the staff grid is lost. so it seems that I cannot choose to have both a grid and a sidebar. Kinda stupid if you ask me since many pages uses the left side for the meny, like I want to do.

    Hey AKtalarom,
    The premium version has an option to add staff posts through a shortcode so you could use the sidebar template. This isn’t an option within the free theme. Sorry!

    To have the option for staff you have to have the premium theme, So in the future best place for support is the premium support forms: http://www.kadencethemes.com/support-forums/forum/virtue-theme/

    Please ask your questions there.

    In terms of adding a staff grid to a sidebar page just add:

    [staff_posts columns="3" items="8"]

    Thanks. That solved the problem. I’ll check with the webmaster if we can have access to the premium site. I’m not the one who had purchased the template.
