Sidebar does not display

    I added the Twitter Follow Button and Twitter Timeline widgets to the Sidebar, but the Sidebar does not display. I checked in Appearance>Customize>Theme Options, and there is no option to turn on the Sidebar – only to choose left or right alignment. How do I get the Sidebar to show up?
