Typically, something in a post that’s too wide – often a picture.
A link to your site would make it easier for people to help you.
Publishing badly-formatted posts will do that.

Yes so I’m trying to delete all the posts to see what happens, but since I’ve upgraded to 2.0.4, I can’t delete posts anymore, it says I don’t have permission to do that, even though I’m the admin. How can I change that?

solved the weird permission problem
Deleting all the posts got the sidebar back in place.
