Sidebar gone after deactivation

    When deactivating the Co-Authors Plus plugin, the sidebar in our blog is gone, leaves a blank space. What else is there to do when deactivating the plugin? (it was not installed by us but by a former agency). Could this have to do with any templates that have to be re-modified / returned to their former state?
