sidebar not working/displaying correctly
-
I tried creating a theme built on top of the blankslate theme.
here: http://hfrecruitment.com.au/wp/There is now a whitespace area for the sidebar, but the content I add to the sidebar (in the widget admin area) does not show as it should (in the right column). In this example the calendar and search shows up below the post down the bottom of the page. Yet in other themes the sidebarcolumn shows correctly (so it doesnt appear to be anything core I may have altered).
I thought maybe there was an unclosed tag. I’ve run it through the w3 validator, with no obvious issues found to cause this.
Also I tested the stock css blankslate file, and the same result happened, so I doubt it is my css.I’m not sure what else would cause this, any tips?
How can I get content correctly displayed into the right area sidebar?
Thanks

1.8 does indeed have a missing
</div>causing the issue. For the time being either use 1.7:

Or contact us for the latest version:

A followup on this,, I updated to v2.0 (and cant respond in official forum, appears broken), I’m now having some alignment issues with http://hfrecruitment.com.au/wp/ I think it may be a div tag or css issue, my edit to css alignment for the footer seems to be ignored. The problem is Id like the footer to sit within the site like the restof the content, pref centre aligned, but definitely not outside therest of the box/border the site is within.you can look direct at the site, (I believe only functions file and css weremodified though). Thanks!
Apologies.
