Sidebar still showing up

Hey! I’m new to wordpress development but I’m digging my way trought it.

Now I have a pretty odd problem. I removed the get_sidebar() function from the index page but the sidebar is still showing up with the default widgets in it even though i removed them also from the primary widget area.
