Simple JQuery not working

Hello there, and thanks for this plugin!

Here is the problem I’m currently facing:
I’ve set up a simple JQuery script in a specific page of my wordpress, but for some reason it does not work.

Here is the code of the script (display content when hovering a specific area):

I copy/pasted the exact same code in the dedicated sections in my WordPress page editor, and I activated JQuery in the “Include Scripts” tab.
And this is what I get :

The CSS works, but not the script (nothing is being displayed when hovering).

Am I doing things wrong ? Any idea what I can do ?
