Simple Membership integration

Hello,

We are looking for assistance with integrating your plugin with a membership-based site. Currently we are using The Events Calendar on a client site which also utilises a membership plugin, “Simple Membership”. Unfortunately this plugin doesn’t seem to be listed on your membership plugins page here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/guide/the-events-calendar-membership-plugins/

Since the site is essentially built around Simple Membership we would prefer not to switch to a different plugin at this stage, so are instead customising the Events Calender templates. Currently we have it so that different membership levels will display their associated events correctly on the calendar view. However when subscribing to the calendar the events are not filtered by membership level and so all of them will appear on the receiving calendar (e.g. Google Calendar).

Understand that this request might be out of scope for the support forum, but any suggestions would be appreciated. So far we’re looking at a few possible solutions but would like some assistance, even if it’s just a point in the right direction:

1. Diving in to the subscription code and modifying it to only display the relevant events. However we’re not sure where this functionality is handled, or if it’s even overridable.
2. Having separate calendars for each membership level (and then just show the relevant one to the user). However it doesn’t seem like The Events Calendar supports this currently?
3. It may be possible to create different calendar views using category filters, however we’re not sure if these filters are taken into account when subscribing to the calendar?
