    Hello and thank you for the opportunity to post a question here. At the risk of sounding like a newbie, we are trying to accomplish the following;

    We would like to accomplish something similar to our podcast pages on other platforms (i.e.) Apple Podcast and Google Podcast but on our own domain.

    with a similar look, feel and functionality. In short, Simple and Clean…

    Needless to say, after installing your add-on as well as after several attempts we have failed miserably. Can you or anyone else in your community lead us in a direction to accomplish our goals.

    At this time, We host our podcast Anchor but are listed on an additional 12 platforms and would like to offer the same on our own domain.

    Hello @xtremeweather,

    PowerPress is meant to be a podcast publishing and syndication platform for your website. It uses the natural built-in blog publishing found in WordPress. If you are not aware, podcasting is an extension to blogging. You essentially create a blogroll, a place where all of your blog posts reside in your site, and add media to each blog post and you have yourself a podcast. The only difference between doing this without PowerPress vs with is mainly the podcast specific integrations such as subscribe tools and podcast specific tags for Apple podcasts. It is much more complicated than that when you dig deeper, but that is the basics to podcasting.

    WordPress by default will make your blogroll pages show 10 posts/episodes per page (you can change this in settings). As you publish more episodes, you can page through older posts/episodes. It does not put all of your episodes on one page, this is by design. In addition and most importantly, each post/episode has its own dedicated page, the pagination is meant to be a way to find posts/episodes.

    The advantage to making a podcast website this way, as apposed to say the SoundCloud or Anchor approach where all episodes are found on one page, is that each blog post/episode will benefit your website, drawing users who do searches to your website as well as allowing users on your website to use their favorite podcast apps. This has become more imporatnt than ever since Google now indexes podcasts and links specifically to the episodes in search results. Get this, if your podcast matches a search, your show is in the top of the results, similar to a YouTube video is at the top of the results. As you can imagine, a podcast helps your web site’s SEO as you then have people discovering your website because you have podcast episodes.

    You can in addition create a single page that then aggregates all of your blog posts/episodes on your site into a single player. The PowerPress Playlist player option uses the built-in playlist player in WordPress aggregating your latest podcast episodes.
