Simple Question About Cron

does running cron on my server still do garbage collection?
IE: if I am running from a crontab

wget -q -O – https://www.DOMAIN.com//wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron >/dev/null 2>&1

will this do the garbage collection for super cache?
