Can anyone suggest a very simple Table plugin that will let me install tables, n rows, m columns, with my choice of width and border and containing cells whose border properties I can specify, in the way that can be done with Komposer in a very simple html installation.
The tables will be used to display images and captions in posts. They will be installed individually and I do not want to import cell contents. I’m using theme 2014.

Sorry about the very simple question, all the table plugins I’ve seen seem to concentrate on importing content, not on design. I’ve probably missed something obvious.

  • It helps to state which plugins you’ve tried that did not meet your needs.

TablePress is the best WordPress table plugin out there, and the design can be easily customized via CSS.

But it sounds as though what you really need is the ability to present content in columns, and an actual table may not be the best way to do it.

And what makes the Komposer that you mentioned not a good solution for you?

Thank you George. You’re right, it is mainly a need to use columns. I’ll experiment with TablePress.
Kompozer is an old wsyiwyg html editor for use on one’s own PC, not on servers.
