Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
That sounds strange, because the Extension should at least give an error message, instead of showing the Shortcode.
Are you sure that the Single Cell Shortcode Extension was still activated after the update to 1.1? Can you maybe install it again to rule out that the file was maybe corrupted?

Tobias

Still showing shortcode code.
Restore 1.0 – Works
Hi,
ok, thanks for checking again. That’s really weird. I’ll do to more testing on my end and let you know about my findings asap.
If you are interested in helping out some more: Does this only happen in that text widget that you mention or also in the text of a regular page/post?
Regards,
Tobias
Good question. I added a new Post and it works with 1.1, so the fault is in the Text Widget.
Hi,
thanks for testing that! I know what’s going on now 🙂 The Shortcode is working fine, and there’s a reason why it’s not working in the text widget: WordPress does not evaluate Shortcodes in text widgets by default (I keep forgetting that).
That’s also the reason why we’ve added a modification to your PHP file of the Extension (about 7 months), and you’ll simply have to add it to the new version as well:

I’d completely forgotten that! That worked thanks very much
Hi,
no worries, I had also forgotten about this (and that Shortcodes in text widgets need extra treatment).
Good to hear that everything is working now!
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
