single-customposttype,php not working

    Hi there.

    I’ve created custom post types no problems but every time I click on a link to test its working ok it is defaulting to the index.php. I cant understand why its doing this as i have created the relevant single.php and single-about.php (about is the post type) templates but it refuses to work!

    Any help much appreciated 🙂

    u can assign that template to any page then check

    Its near enough exactly the same page so i know it works. Plus when I refresh the permalink settings by selecting a different type , then re-choosing the one i was using it works but then decides after a bit it doesnt want to work again. Ive only recently had this problem with WP3.4 it was working fine before on older versions!
