Single Item Shopping

I’m interesting in using this plugin for my client. She is an artist and each item she makes is handmade and unique. This means that there is only one of each item. I’m looking for a plugin to easily updating and displaying that items have been sold out. Using paypal’s “buy now” buttons will only tell the users that the product is sold out AFTER they have entered in all of their information. You can see why that’s a problem. Do you think the plugin would be the best fit for a project like this?
