Single post showing two different dates

    I have a blog website created using the Digital Newspaper Theme. It has lately developed a problem whereby, when I create a new post, it shows a wrong date on the sidebar, while on the main blog page it shows the correct date. See attached image. 1a & 2a are the same post but showing 2 different dates, same as 1b & 2b. How can I resolve this?
