Single post title from one category

    Is there a wordpress command to just get the title (and the url) for the most recent post in a single category. I want to highlight posts from a certain category in a “banner” or what you should call it ..

    I found this plugin:

    But i can’t get it to work in WordPress 2.5. Any tips?
