Site Background Image Error
-
I’m at my wits end with what I /think/ must be an error with my site background image.
If you take a look at the link, it’s currently set to the image of a mountain-filled landscape. That would be fine… if that was the image I wanted. I uploaded it immediately after starting to customize my site, using Appearance > Customizer > General Options > General Styling > Site Background. I want to use a completely different image as my site background, but here’s the catch- when I hit “Remove”, in the Customizer sidebar it removes the image, leaving me with the typical grey square reading “No image selected”.
On the actual page, however, be it my own view or using a completely different browser, computer, etc., the image of the mountains remains! I’m going completely crazy.
I’ve tried uploading a new, different image, then removing it. When I upload a different image, nothing happens. The mountains are still there.
When I try removing the newly uploaded image? Still mountains.I imagine I can fix this with css, but 1) I’m super new to coding and worry I would screw up, and also 2) I don’t want to have to insert custom background image coding into every new page I create! I just want to get rid of this site background image.
Has anyone else had this problem? I feel like I’m being a complete idiot and missing something obvious. I’ve cleared caches, waited a day, etc. and still no change.
What am I missing? Will I need to find laser tattoo removal for this seemingly permanent background image? Please help!
