Wondering why it won’t allow my text changes to take effect. In live preview it shows but on the url its showing the first rendition i did.

You need to clear any caches you have, either a caching plugin or your host cache.

i pulled up in private and on another computer and it is still doing it.

Yeah because the cached page is being server from your server. Clear your server cache plugin or your host cache.
