    Why description not appearing on social media or WhatsApp?
    Please, make sure that you’ve defined the meta description directly from the Yoast SEO → Social → Facebook (tab) and Twitter (tab).

    Why description not appearing on Google search results?
    You’ll need to manually write the meta description into the field that you’ve highlighted in your screenshot (Yoast SEO → Search Appearance → General (tab)) instead of using the %%excerpt%% template variable as your site’s front page seems not to have enough content or any content at all inside the default content editor.
