• Hi there,

We’re facing a major issue with the following website : https://educlare.org/

The plugin has been updated on Feb 4th, and a 2023 version of the site has been put online following this update.

We had to restore a backup this morning through your plugin and the site has crashed, it’s not online anymore.

=> You must fix this issue ASAP, not only the site is down but we can’t even access to the back office now.

There’s a serious problem with this new version of the plugin. This is the first time something like this has happened and we need to make sure that our backups are not only done correctly but that the restoration does not jeopardise the integrity of our sites.

Thank you for taking this request urgently.

    Hi,

This issue does not seem to be directly related to the new version itself.

    • If the site crashed at the start of the restore process, try deactivating the BackWPUp plugin via FTP to see if that helps regain access.
    • If the crash happened after restoration, something may have gone wrong during the process. If you have the backup file, I recommend testing the restore on a fresh WordPress staging installation to check if the backup is intact.

You can access the restore page here:
    👉 admin.php?page=backwpuprestore

If needed, you can also download an older version of BackWPUp from here:
    👉 BackWPUp Previous Versions

If none of these steps help, please reach out to us directly, and we’ll assist you further.

    Best regards.

    Hi,

Thanks for you reply. Could you please help us by reinstalling the site from the dump get the site back online as quickly as possible?

Thanks a mil for your help

    Hi,

If WP Media can’t help you, you have maybe a backup with your hosting and he can restore your website. And maybe you have access to backup tools in your account to do this automatically. it’s depend to your hosting service.

Do have zip with WordPress Files and Database .sql file ? If that you need to do a manuel restore in your hosting service.

The most important thing is to have a working backup!
