Hi @carmacritta
Sorry to hear about the issue. It was mostly caused when updating the plugins and something went wrong during the update. You can try to rename the plugins folder (example: plugins-old) of WordPress by login into your site’s file via FTP/cPanel to be able to access the WordPress Dashboard. Once you can access to WordPress dashboard, you can rename back the plugins folder back to plugins and activate the plugins one by one to find the faulty plugins which broke during the update.
You can learn more here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/
Hope this helps!
I have logged into FTP and it comes up with a critical error message – critical error – could not connect to server – 530 Login authentication failed
Looks like the FTP information isn’t correct. Make sure to add the correct info. You can contact hosting support to know the correct credentials
I have deactivated all plugins via the instructions and still no luck. Is there a timeframe involved with this update taking place?
Now receiving this error –

There has been a critical error on this website.
Deactivating the plugins should have helped. Could you follow this article and see if this helps?
